I work in the Multidisciplinary Research team within the Ocean Technology and Engineering Group at the NOC.
I principally work on OTE’s miniature conductivity, temperature and dissolved oxygen (CTDO) sensors that are being developed between the NOC and the Electronics and Computer Sciences group at the University of Southampton. My role requires the testing and characterisation of these sensors but also liasing with fabrication and electronic specialists to deliver an ever more capable package.
It is likely that the the small size, low power requirements and capability relative to their size would make the CTDO sensors attractive to a wide range of studies.
