Being short-listed is a great achievement for NOC – and shows that we are ‘on-par’ with Hampshire’s best when it comes to our CSR activities.
NOC came close to winning the aap3 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category of the prestigious South Coast Business Awards earlier this month.
On Friday 15 July staff attended a prestigious award ceremony at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton, to see how the bid, put together by Candice Snelling, Environment and Energy Advisor, would fare against stiff competition from other private and public sector organisations in the region.
NOC is increasingly short listed for awards in recognition for CSR activities including school outreach, open days and environmental improvements. Lewis Rennison and Peter Winter made a presentation to the judging panel and awards shortlistees were assessed for their work on a range of issues, including our contribution to the community, commitment to employees’ wellbeing, reducing our environmental impact and encouraging good practice in suppliers and partners.
NOC narrowly missed out on the ‘first’ position for the CSR award to Portsmouth-based company, Warings, but Candice said “Being short-listed is a great achievement for NOC – and shows that we are ‘on-par’ with Hampshire’s best when it comes to our CSR activities.”
