All of our live vacancies can be found on our ‘Current Vacancies’ page. Simply click on ‘Apply Now’ if you would like to apply for any of the positions.
-
Is there any guidance on how to complete an application?
We request that all candidates applying for a role at the NOC submit both a CV and covering letter to emphasise the reasons for applying for the role. We ask that all candidates provide an overview of how their skills and experience meet the relevant criteria as set out in the Job Description/Person Specification which you will find attached to the advert.

Agencies who wish to work with the NOC
Please note that the NOC will, from time to time, use recruitment agencies to recruit specialist posts.
-
Can I submit a paper application?
All applications should be made online. If however you are having difficulties applying online please contact the NOC Recruitment Team on 023 8059 6420 before the closing date.
-
When will the outcome of my application be confirmed?
Once the vacancy has closed, the shortlist panel will review all applications and agree which candidates will be invited for interview. In most cases this should take no longer than four weeks.
-
Is feedback available on applications that are unsuccessful in securing an interview?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications at shortlist stage, due to the high volume of applications we receive. All applications are scored against the role specific criteria detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification and candidates who meet this criteria and score the highest will be invited to attend an interview.
-
Do I need to prepare anything in advance of attending an interview?
Details of presentations or selection tests will be included in your interview invite letter if required. If you are expected to prepare anything in advance this will be specified. You are required to bring along documentation, i.e., eligibility to work in the UK, certificates of qualifications, passport, birth certificate and driving licence (if required for the role).

In normal circumstances references will only be sought after an offer has been made. If we wish to take up references before this (ie as part of the application or interview process) we will only do so with your consent.
-
How long after my interview will I receive the outcome?
The interview panel should advise you at the end of the interview when you can expect to hear the outcome. Successful candidates will be contacted verbally and, upon acceptance of the position, will receive confirmation in writing.
Please note that all offers are subject to receipt of satisfactory employment references, evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and sight of relevant certificates of training/qualifications. Successful candidates will also be required to be deemed medically fit to undertake their role and pass an Agenda screening assessment.

For certain vacancies the NOC may be able to sponsor applicants using our Immigration Licence. Our adverts will normally make it clear where this might be possible. -
Am I entitled to a relocation allowance if I relocate for a role at the NOC?
The NOC operates a scheme that provides relocation assistance for a new employee who is moving to the area to start a new job at the NOC. For some recruitment situations, the NOC is able to support successful candidates through a relocation process and that this will be discussed with the candidate at the point of an offer being made. Please note that the relocation assistance does not cover the annual health levy. For further guidance regarding relocation, please visit the HMRC website.
